Antica Tripperia "Nerbone" is a food stall in the Mercato Centrale frequented by locals and foodies from all over the world for their famous boiled beef sandwiches- and lampredotto. Besides Sandwiches, Nerbone is renowned for Tuscan specialties like la ribollita, la panzanella, various salads, fresh pasta and more.

The stall of Nerbone

Of the several stalls within the historical Mercato Centrale in San Lorenzo, Nerbone has been serving up the best Florentine tripe and roast beef sandwiches since 1872. Despite being located in a heavily touristic zone, Nerbone is still a gathering place for locals to enjoy lunch. Expect to choose your food from the counter and take your order away unless you are lucky to score an open spot in the seating area. Arrive early to avoid the lines and to secure a table.
